The Limmat Valley is one of the fastest growing regions in the greater Zurich / Aargau area. For this reason, the Limmattalbahn was built. The Limmattalbahn is a joint project of the cantons of Zurich and Aargau. Due to the expected growth in the Limmattal region, the overall transport system will be strengthened, on the one hand by the Limmattalbahn and on the other hand by targeted road expansions. The Limmattalbahn connects the municipalities of Zurich-Altstetten, Schlieren, Urdorf, Dietikon, Spreitenbach and Killwangen, with 27 stops through the Limmattalbahn.
