After two years of construction, the key of the new school building in Haldenstein will be opened on the 18th. August 2023 to Minister of Education Patrik Degiacomi. This afternoon the doors of the school house are open to all interested parties. Just at the time of the start of construction, the municipalities of Haldenstein and Chur merged. Thanks to good agreement between the fusion municipalities, the project could be continued smoothly even after the merger by the building construction services of the city of Chur. Due to objections, the start of construction was delayed, which finally began in 2021 with the demolition of the old school house. Just in time for the start of the school year 2023/24, the school building with rooms for two kindergartens, the primary school and a lunch table can be handed over to the city school.
